COOPRENA

 Heliconias Lodge offers a variety of attractions for nature lovers. Our reserve embraces primary and secondary  forests right next to Volcán Tenorio National Park. We have trails and skywalk bridges of many different lengths,which are the perfect places for watching birds of several species. It location allows you to view the  Miravalles Volcano, the  Guatusos Valley and Lake Nicaragua. Heliconias is a member of Cooprena and International Hostelling.

Who to get there

By bus, take the bus to Upala, and stop in Bijagua, by the National Bank.  Coordinate pick up service first.

Bijagua de Upala, 1.8 miles north from Banco Nacional, on the skirts of Tenorio Volcano.

Lodge: 6 rooms for 2, 3 and 4 people, private bathroom, hot water.

Maximum capacity:24 people. Double beds and bunk beds.

Restaurant / bar: panoramic view to Miravalles Volcano, Valley of the Gauss and, in clear days, Lake of Nicaragua. Craftsmanship shop

Biological reserve: Of 110 Hectares with 0.4, 0.5 and 0.8 miles long sky walks.  Bird - watching
