Heliconias Lodge offers a variety of attractions for nature lovers. Our reserve embraces primary and secondary forests right next to Volcán Tenorio National Park. We have trails and skywalk bridges of many different lengths, which are the perfect places for watching birds of several species. It location allows you to view the Miravalles Volcano, the Guatusos Valley and Lake Nicaragua. Heliconias is a member of Cooprena and International Hostelling. |

By bus, take the bus to Upala, and stop in Bijagua, by the National Bank. Coordinate pick up service first.

Savegre de Quepos. 22 miles from Quepos, on the road to Dominical. After you pass the bridge over río Savegre, take the road on your left for 3.5 more miles until you find the lodge. La Gloria de San Carlos de Aguas Zarcas. The lodge is 15.6 miles from Aguas Zarcas, on the road to Altamira. 1.8 miles after the Altamira crossroad take the gravel road on your right for 9 miles until you reach La Gloria. Located in the heart of Península de Osa, Cerro de Oro gives you the possibility to get deep into Corcovado National Park. From there, you can walk through the park to Llorona and Sirena. Cerro de Oro is a place of great interest for researchers and students investigating birds, botanical species and gold mining history, because it is feasible to spot the old traces of this activity, and listen to the tales of former mining workers, people from that golden age. Lodging: It is an old abandoned building use by Osa Federal company. The place was rebuilt as a lodge that now accommodates 20 guests in 5 rooms with private bathroom and a view of the gulf and the valley.
Maximum capacity: 20 people.
Lodge’s dinning hall: Costa Rican typical food.
Biological reserve: 60 hectares of primary and secondary forests with 2.5 miles long trails, in which you can spot 114 vegetables species, distributed in 98 genus and 46 families, besides of other types of life like birds (Red Macaw), reptiles and other animals.

Fishing tours, visits to Playa Blanca and boat rides through the mangrove swamps of Golfo Dulce.

Only 700m of the Punta Uvita beach, the Hotel Canto de Ballenas offers hospitable ambiance to enjoy a wonderful beach holidays.  How to get there?
The hotel is situated 750 meters from Playa Punta Uvita, in the Marino Ballena National Park, district of Bahía Ballena, en el canton de Osa, province of Puntarenas.
Follow the Costanera Sur, 20 km south of Dominical, immediately after the bridge of the Uvita River, turn to the right, take the first entrance of Playa Punta Uvita, 750 meters after, an attractive wood inscription indicate the exact direction to the hotel.
From San José , Dominical can be accessible by San Isidro del General, across the Cerro de la Muerte or by Quepos, traveling by the Costanera Sur.
