COOPRENA R.L. is a Costa Rican organization founded after the initiative of some cooperatives and associated organizations looking for the orderliness, merchandizing and commercialization of the tourist product offered by its new members.

COOPRENA R. L. performs a function of a promotion and training platform through which its members become known at a national and international level, while it also provides the proper tools aimed to the professionalization of this area by offering courses, seminars and workshops.

Every organization is made up by low economical income rural families of very humble living. Their common goal is to explore new methods in the use of the land by generating economical incomes environmentally safe for the place where they live.
Such alternative provides COOPRENA R. L. affiliated members a way to complement its incomes, generally coming from agricultural production. It also looks for an improvement in their life quality, through the development of non traditional tourist products.

The agroturist offer includes rustic accommodations located in several different Costa Rican tourist locations, restaurants offering regional and Costa Rican typical food, pathed private reserves, and suspension bridges, wild life rescue centers, zoo farms, waterfalls and rural roads. All these backdroped in the authenticity of the place and its people, who are more than prepared to serve visitors efficiently.

This tourist offer looks forward to generate new alternatives in the diversification of the different group’s production line, while it seeks the certainty of rational exploitation and sustainable use of natural resources.
