Ranchos Tinamú is a mountain lodge situated in the community of San Isidro de Dota, a village which represents the rural areas of Costa Rica, located close to the Cerro Nara Protective Zone and surrounded by evergreen exuberant forests.
Here you can participate and get to know the secrets of Costa Rican country life through the Parra Family, who will teach you about the daily tasks of life in the country. From Puerto Quepos, it’s 34 km until San Isidro de Dota; taking you about 2 hours and 30 minutes in a four-wheel drive
From Londres de Quepos until San Isidro de Dota, by horse, you’ll take approximately 4 hours (the total distance to cover is 14 Km).
You can also reach Ranchos Tinamú taking the “El Sukia” Route, going from Santa María de Dota to San Isidro. This route has a total distance of 40 km which generally is covered in three days, the first part of the Route is by four-wheel drive, then walking on dirt roads and trails going uphill and downhill with a total effective walking time of 14 hours.
