Prevention against sexual exploitation of children and adolescents

We at Simbiosis Cooprena Tours completely reject the exploitation, commercialization and abuse of children and adolescents, since this behavior violates their fundamental rights. Moreover, these are criminal acts and completely go against the goals of the tourism business, based on peace, human rights, mutual understanding and respect for all inhabitants, cultures and sustainable development.

We care about the protection of children and adolescents, which is why we actively work with the Paniamor Code of Behavior. We work together with the Costa Rican Tourism Institute and the PANIAMOR Foundation, mainly providing support in logistics and coordination of different training sessions, including the workshop “Adherence to the Code of Conduct against the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents” in which the current situation of the country and the world is explained as well as the measures that need to be taken to resolve this issue. We motivate our members and providers to actively participate in this workshop and to sign the Code of Conduct, in order to contribute to the protection of the children and adolescents.

We invite you to be part of this cause, which involves all of us. The children and adolescents are the future of our country and that is why we should make sure their integral development in society is appropriate. Therefore, REPORT all those who violate the physical, mental or psychological integrity of children and adolescents.
