Mount Chirripó is the highest peak in Costa Rica, with its impressive 3820 meters above sea level majestically sticking out, overlooking the beautiful landscapes of its surroundings. On clear days you can see the Pacific Ocean as well as the Caribbean Sea from here, as well as a large part of the national territory and even part of the territory of Panama. This is the best known mountain of the Talamanca Mountain Range and one of the highest mountains of Central America. Its singular landscapes and unusual vegetation are well worth the visit, characterized by the forest of the Páramo, the fog, its low temperatures, the lakes of glacial origin and the cold air. Moreover, at the highest point you can observe plains and steep spikes, almost always in the clouds and with a drizzle. During the hike you can enjoy several areas of great scenic beauty, such as Sabana de los Leones, Morenas Valley, Mount Ventisqueros, Mount Chirripó, Lagos Valley and Conejos Valley.
